Dr Anna Lisa Pastore attended Yale University and then educated young people before pursuing her doctorate of medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Based on her superior scholarship and values, she was elected to the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and was again acknowledged for her level of commitment, being named Chief Resident of her department. She remained at Columbia as an attending physician for an additional five years. Next, Dr Pastore expanded her understanding of disease at Harvard Medical School, where she received her certification in acupuncture. Her multi-faceted approach allows her to better understand and transform complex illnesses. In partnership with her patients she develops an integrative wellness plan tailored to their individual needs. The blending of allopathic modalities with naturopathy, homeopathy, and acupuncture promotes the body's intrinsic healing capacity resulting in not only symptom relief, but wellness. She is certified as a yoga teacher and brings this philosophy to her ever expanding awareness of the psycho-emotional and spiritual underpinnings of dis-ease. Dr Pastore maintains her board certification in Internal Medicine and was also board certified in Holistic & Integrative Medicine. She founded the Center for Holistic & Integrative Medicine (CHI-Medicine) in 2009, bringing together like-minded practitioners to support patients on their path to wellness. In 2010, she survived a near fatal accident and used the very medicine she promotes to support her own healing. She co-founded Sacred Healing Coalition, a non-profit organization to further the transformation of patients and communities, honoring the sacred nature of the healing process.
